Teddy Ruthenberg President Welcome to the Blue Island Park District! On behalf of the Board of Commissioners and staff, thank you for the continued chance to serve our great community. We’re saying farewell to another fantastic summer season at the parks, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Our 2019 Fall Program William “Bill” Ochoa Catalog is filled with ways for you and your family to stay active, Treasurer #ParkIt, and fall in love with this season in Blue Island. First up is our 6th Annual BBQ on the Hill Competition and Festival, a celebration of family, friends, fun, and BBQ at Memorial Park. This year’s fest is expanded to THREE days of fun – bookmark blueislandparks. org for event schedules and entertainment announcements. Vincent Franchetti Commissioner We follow up BBQ on the Hill with our own version of Halloweentown: Boo Island! With Monster Bingo, a Flashlight Halloween Hunt and Trunk or Treat, there’s something fun at our parks for ghouls and goblins of every age! And when it comes to staying active and making friends, there’s no Brandon Richardella better way then with our youth and adult sports leagues and classes. Join Blue Island’s bravest in a search for goodies hidden all around Memorial Park after dark. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in costume. Flashlight and bag are mandatory.
