Project has granted the award of National Architecture Exhibition and Building Award of 2018. The main approach in the project is to create human-oriented open and close spatial arrangements. The human-oriented approach of the new generation technoparks acknowledges that as well as the expertise in advanced technology, the physical and social environment also has a significant impact on the emergence of inventive and innovative ideas. In this context, it is aimed to create different spatial usages of the physical environment based on the principles of the existing masterplan.Research and Development Centre - I R&D Centre is designed for providing main needs of new and small sized entrepreneurs. Spatial organization in the building consist of modular office areas, laboratories, secreteriats, meeting and conference halls.Executive Office Building Executive Office Building is differentiated with its symbolic feature although it is a part of a common architectural language. This distinctive feature is achieved by simple but effective interventions in the mass geometry of the structure.Research and Development Centre - II With the fact that the spaces for R & D should be rented by firms of different content and size, the spatial organization of research centre is designed based on basic modulation so as to fit into different usages and possibilities.Social Centre Social Centre provides open & closed sport areas, restaurants and cafes engaging with natural landscape.EXECUTIVE OFFICE BUILDINGFirst Level Entrance Floor 1. Since 1950’s due to high accessibility between public functions and main transportation lines (TEM and E5 highways which are the main transportation axes of Istanbul) in Başıbüyük neighbourhood illegal settlements and the slums have been the main scene. Urban Renewal Master Plan, which is brought to the agenda with the necessity of providing healthy, livable, sustainable and planned development of the area, targets visionary and applicable design criteria in the formation of a quality, aesthetic and healthy environment. These design criteria are planned to be guiding in the plan revision works.Residential Districts Focus Areas Green Axis Urban structureUrban Design MasterplanMain vehicle lane Viewpoint Project areaMaltepe Başıbüyük Urban Transformation Parcel 49 Project is located in the south of the planned sub-center. This is the first stage of the Urban Design Project prepared for Maltepe Municipality and TOKI (Social Housing Agency of Turkey). In Istanbul, most of the social housing units that are constructed by municipalities or TOKI tries to cope with the problem of density. As a consequence of this problem, lots of the residential units occur as isolated islands in the periphery of the city and group of high-rised low-quality buildings. The main objective of this project is to create high-quality residential areas in a livable environment and with a humane scale. The project is designed on approximately 2 hectares, consist of 15 blocks and includes 308 independent units.PARCEL 49 MASTERPLAN226B344'54'5B26030405060708CC02DDDDABBC2AA0113BA544'AA4B3C23142A1A1 ENTRANCE FLOOR PLAN2344'56E13434 1EEEA1123461A1 FLOOR PLANA1 EAST ELEVATION1'12345677'89101112ABCYangın DolabıDE FG G'D1 FLOOR PLAN D1 DETAILED ELEVATION & SECTIOND1 EAST ELEVATIONresidential Durusu Park West Side Houses ATELYE 70 Planners & Architects 2017 * under constructionDurusupark Westside Houses are single-family residences that are lost in endless greenery in the north side of Istanbul. The project area is the accumulation of different parcels with private owners. One of the main objective of the project is creating residential areas that are compatible with the topography while protecting users privacy between the parcels. Another important objective is designing houses that opens itself to nature through transparency and at the same time stand as a part of nature by blending traditional and contemporary materials.DURUSU MASTERPLAN3A32A2A1'11AAA M01 BK05 WC 4,85 m²A1A1 BK02 CORRIDOR 9,35 m² BK01 ENTRANCE 10,85 m²BBK04 LIVING AREA 74,10 m²BK06 STORAGE 17,10 m²BBK03 KITCHEN 23,35 m²B' CB' C BK07 TERRACE 20,35 m²D3A32A2DA1'11AENTRANCE FLOOR PLAN 3A32A2A1'11AAA M01 ZK08 BATHROOM 7,35 m²ZK10 ZK09 CLOAKROOM BATHROOM 5,95 m² 4,05 m²A1A1ZK01 CORRIDOR 14,10m²BZK04 BATHROOM 3,10 m²ZK02 BEDROOM 13,30 m²ZK03 BEDROOM 15,60 m²BZK06 BATHROOM 2,75 m²ZK05 BEDROOM 16,15 m²ZK07 BEDROOM 28,95 m²B' CB' C ZK11 BALCONY 21,70 m²D3APARCEL 1326FIRST FLOOR PLAN32A21'DA11ADB' CBA1A+7,15 +6,80+5,50+4,85+4,30+4,30 +3,80 +3,32ZK08 BATHROOMZK01 CORRIDORZK05 BEDROOMBK07 BALCONY+1,12 +1,00+1,12 +1,00 +0,59 +0,65+0,50±0,00BK04 LIVING AREABK07 TERRACE-2,18 -2,30 -2,80 T.A.KAA SECTION-2,18PARCEL 1327PARCEL 1035competitionEVKA Transfer Point & Social Centre ATELYE 70 Planners & Architects National Competition Project 2017Project area (Bornova district) is defined by, residential areas, the social and physical profile of the university area and open spaces that are requirements of Mediterranean climate. Istanbul and Ankara Streets, divide the district to three different urban sub-regions that do not interact and communicate. The main subject of the project, transfer point and social centre is situated at the intersection of these regions and aims to provide mobility and communication between these areas. For this reason, the subject area is aimed to be not only a transit area with new functions but also a focus area that regulates strong social relations with its surroundings.Spatial divisionPark & GoSustainable mobivlity ( pedestrian, bicycle & public transportation )Functional distributionLayout Plan+ 47.00 Level PlanAA SectionDD SectionCC SectionDetailed Section & Elelvation33321343+55.00 Level Theatre Cafes& Lounges55523 1 34+51.00 Level Mediatechque Control Room WC Foyer-Lounge+41.00 Level Atelier Club Rooms džŚŝďŝƟŽŶ,Ăůů ^ƚŽƌĂŐĞ5 535522 1 3 2425competitionScuole Innovative - Lucca Italia ATELYE 70 Planners & Architects International Competition Project 2017When a child draws he/she does not have a defined space understanding, he/she tries to cross the edge of the sheet and cross over the limit. This is freedom of expression. Children's space is their world and their limits. Creating a school that feeds this perspective will stimulate their understanding and imagination. As designers, we should create spaces where children will feel free to learn and express themselves whithout limits. The urban context, characterized by buildings of modest dimensions with large garden areas and the intervention that is suggested should respect this green and spacious characteristics of the area. The main idea is to create spaces around the courtyard which has direct communication with the existing park and the neighbourhood. The park enters into the school physically and visually excluding the public-private binomial. The alternation of closed and open spaces allow us to perceive the park from every part of the building. The project maximizes the flexibility of the spaces according to the new guidelines for the school building. The functional areas follow one another on one level with a constant visual and physical relationship. The project makes it possible to articulate continuous flows between spaces where different activities take place. The agora expands by involving the space of the laboratories through movable walls. The roof-garden gives back to the city the part of the ground occupied by the new building; the use of wood for most of the structures and partitions contributes to the sustainability of the intervention.Sezione EE’Prospetto SudProspetto NordArchitectural Amalgamation in Naples 2012 ITU Architectural Diploma Projectacademic projectAnalysis of the Project AreaPort of NaplesPalazzo Ottierithe area of Piazzo MercatoThe examination made on the project site revealed that the acurate border of Port Authourity is reflected to the city life which leads to a broken contact of the city and water causing a passive relation between the citizens along with the touristes. On the design process, this became the most significant issue that identified the project. Also the fact that the project site have connections to the Äąndustrial, historical districts and new city region proves that the area has a rich diversity of both social and commercial. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to use these potantial dinamics of the area along with the spatial dimensions.Accordance to the goals of the project the education and design zones are aimed to be places for both academic works and public recreation. These systems are positioned near the silos to create a relation with Piazza Mercato. The linear system that is placed along with the horizontal and vertical buildings is interupted by vertical axes where the dinamic and constantly changing composition leads the users to the port area.Architectural Amalgamation city unstable living system which state of continiual decomposition but which also continiually re-organizes and re-arranges itself which expands and shrinks. The project proposes a newpattern of art, education, sharing, thinking, commercial and marketing that melds in to city life with its multidisciplinary and functional design which pairs up a productive and dinamic habitat. The major goal of the project is identified as forming a hub that works as a catalyzer between the relations of surrounding zones and embodies the waterfront area to the city life. The objectives of the project area; accesibility of port area; the social, cultural and economic improvement of the region; evolving transformation of port zone and PiazzaMercato; a cumulative and transforming structure.decomposition of vertical and horizontal linesadding and taking out volumes taking advantage of massive behaviour of existing buildingsLayout of the Program The configuration on the axes are designed to become exhibition and transitions areas forming urban terraces, where in alternative cases replaced with buildings and forming urban rooms. The line structures are intrupted by vertical axes on ground level where in higher levels serves as passages or pedesterian bridges. The building program combines as art, architecture, visual and performing arts functions where the linear system serves as an opening for the public to interract with the functions. On higher levels the system is privatized for education and production purposes. Following the vertical axes, the waterfront area hosts library and mediatek structures. Apart from the buildings, the area embraces a park and recreational zone pursueing the wholistic pattern of the Port Authourity. The program proposes to replace Piazza Ottieri with commercial functions including shopping and marketing features where Ottieri is refunctioned as housing unit. The domestic terminal is another important structure where touristic functions are placed, causing an attraction point for tourists. Both housing and touristic functions are planned to be positioned on the east of the area.A1p1A2B1C1p2B2B3C2B4D2 C3W0p3D1 p4F1F2 urban rooms^site plan: A1: trade facilities-urban passages-shops-cafes-office units. With the ongoing Marmaray transportation project, Kazlıçeşme area will be connected with the historical Peninsula and Yenikapı Area. This situation makes the area very speculative in terms of public & private use of land. The area is already an urban rent topic for high-class residential usage.the greatest harbour of europe !?underground connection Ottoman Suites Onaltıkdokuz Suitesan urban structure on a cultural interfacean urban structure on a cultural interfacehistorical heritageindustrial heritagecontemporary arthistorical touristic routeYedikule Gashousecontemporary art & performance centergashouse museumcontemporary art galleryhistorical peninsula Yenikapı archeo-park open-air museumurban galleries open performance areas art-gardens pavillionsrecreative areas waterfront recreative activities waterfront linesport activitiesplaygrounds cycle lanes-pedestrian areas event spaces natural landscape featuresConsidering all these potential accumulations of the project area, the concept of this project focuses on creating an urban hub that has the role of a cultural interface by reclaiming historical and industrial heritage and connecting these with modern art, landscape and recreational activities. The aim of this formation is turning Kazlıçeşme area to the next stop of Istanbul historical tourist route after Yenikapı Archaeological Park, and creating continuity of functions integrated with open spaces and coastal landscape.MAP 01: morphological analysesOne of the main objectives of the layout is to create a connection between Marmaray transfer point, coastal area and remains of land walls and old Gashouse. Marmaray transfer point and the coastal area are connected with contemporary art activities (museum and main square), landscape and open exhibition areas uninterruptedly. In the projected plan, remains of land walls (Walls of Constantine) has been turned in to an open-air museum and old Gashouse evaluated as Gashouse Museum and industrial park. With this approach, important figures of the area have been connected to each other with a cultural interface. With this interface, it is possible the experience different phases of history and contemporary life connected with the landscape. At the waterfront area, culture and art programmes continue with landscape design and recreational activities (urban galleries, festival areas, open activity areas, cafĂŠ & leisure areas, theme parks). West part of the waterfront area has been planned with high-density soft scape and considering the needs of existing residential areas functions of leisure and playground mostly situated at this part of the coast.MAP 03: activities & spatial settlementsMAP 02: transportation lines and proposalsMasterplan1a2 351b 461transportation-transfer points2industrial and historical heritage3contemporary (connection)4contemporary landscape (waterfront)5 6a- Marmaray - underground b- proposed ferry lines Land walls open-air museum Yedikule Gashouse museum& industrial parkcontemporary art museum open exhibition areas main square open activity area (concerts, events, gatherings) urban galleries waterfront square festival-evemt area cafes & leisurewaterfront landscape coastal platforms theme gardens sculpture parksrecreative & leisure coastal platforms playgrounds, waterparks cafe& leisure high density softscapePartial plan contemporary museum and waterfront connectionAA section contemporary museum and open-air history museumPerspectives of contemporary museum & waterfront connectionPlantatio
